The monthly board of $700 covers all essentials: 24-hour pasture turnout, free-choice hay and grass, seasonal comfort care, routine grooming, scheduled hoof trims, deworming, annual vaccinations, sheath cleaning as needed, and salt and mineral blocks. We also include daily affection and treats, along with regular photo updates. Medications and supplements are given daily if provided by the owner. Any veterinary care outside of our standard vaccination program is the responsibility of the owner.

L and L Farm sits on 40 acres with 25 acres of pasture. Horses are grouped into compatible herds with plenty of space for grazing and natural movement. Each pasture has run-in sheds and tree cover to provide shade and shelter for all horses year-round.

All pastures are enclosed with secure fencing designed for horses, ensuring safety while allowing freedom of movement. Run-in sheds are available in each pasture, offering reliable protection from weather conditions. The entire property perimeter is also securely fenced for peace of mind

Yes, Lynn lives on the farm and is personally involved in the daily care of every horse. In case of emergencies, horses are assessed immediately, and the veterinarian is contacted right away. Owners are notified promptly to ensure transparency and joint decision-making.

Horses have access to pasture and free-choice grass or hay 24 hours a day. We primarily feed a senior formula grain such as Triple Crown Senior, or another brand at the owner’s request. Supplements and medications provided by owners are given daily in individual feeding sessions to make sure every horse gets what they need.

The board includes deworming six times per year, hoof trims six times per year, an annual dental float if needed, sheath cleaning as required, and annual vaccinations for horses that have been boarded for at least six months. Routine vet and farrier visits are included with no extra holding fees. Owners cover the cost of any specialized veterinary care or optional vaccinations not standard to our area.

We welcome retired, senior, layup, and performance horses of all ages and disciplines. Horses with ongoing medical needs are accepted on a case-by-case basis, provided their requirements can be safely managed within our program.

Owners receive regular updates with photos by email so they can see how their horse is doing. Lynn also keeps in touch by phone or text whenever needed, especially for important health updates or emergencies.

Yes, owners are welcome to visit their horses. We ask that visits be scheduled in advance to ensure Lynn is available to accompany you and keep the routine stress-free for the horses.

New arrivals are gradually introduced to the herd over the course of several days to weeks, depending on the horse’s personality and needs. Compatibility, temperament, and stress levels are carefully monitored to ensure a smooth transition and healthy herd dynamics.
